The Basics of OCF
Always a learning curve for any photography topics. Last Sunday, we had a lighting meetup with some friends so we could explain some of the basics of Off Camera Flash photography. Here is a set of pictures explaining the principle of varying the shutter speed to balance the ambient light while "freezing" the subject with a flash.

Settings:
- Canon 5D2 + 300mm
- One flash triggered via remote
- One silver umbrella
- Ambient, F/8, ISO 400, 1/125s
- Test: start at 1/200s down to 1/25s.
