Little stars in the sky

End of the week, we drove east side of the island, and decided to relax on the beach to watch the sky. Not the best weather to watch the Milky way, but we had a small window when the sky cleared to showcase the core just above the horizon.

Sunset was about 7pm and around 8pm the Milky way was slowly appearing in the sky. Luckily, the gusty winds helped move the clouds, and the stars were illuminating the dark sky.

On the beach, waiting patiently in the dark away from the city lights… listening to the waves crashing on the shore… a great start to the weekend!

Last ones of the season...

New moon was last week and got a chance to go out with some friends to capture the Milky way last Friday.

Only started this year to get interested in Astrophotography, and really enjoyed it. Especially during this pandemic world, and working remotely from home since the beginning of the year, it was a good stress relief to go out and shoot.

After sunset, started to dial in the camera configuration for night photography… using the NISI natural night filter to clear some light pollution…
